A difficult experience in my life | ||
What happened? I have a difficult experience in my life. Last year, I was going back to Barishal from Dhaka with my parents and younger sister by launch. Unfortunately, there excessive pressure was of passengers that day. Moreover, the weather was bad. The launch took passengers beyond its capacity. The launch began to swing. When it reached Chandpur, it was about to sink because of tremendous wind, strong current and waves of the river. | How did I feel? I became extremely afraid. I could not hold my nerve. A great panic occupied my mind. I just thought that we were going to die. My sister was screaming. My parents were extremely worried about our safety. | How was it solved? When the launch was about to sink, the crew of the launch worked hard to save the life of the passengers. They tried their best to take the launch near the shore. At the same time, they contacted the crews of other launches. Luckily, a big launch appeared and rescued several hundred passengers from our launch. Many passengers jumped off the launch with life- saving tubes. They somehow reached the shore. But we were still in our launch. As the load of the launch decreased because of removing passengers, our launch began to sail towards the shore. Thus, the lives of all of us got saved. |

And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
