Subject: An application for sinking some tube-wells.
Sir,
We, the inhabitants of Lalpur village under your Union Parishad, would like to let you know that we have been suffering much for the scarcity of pure drinking water for a long time. You are well aware that ours is the poorest village under your Union. There are only a few tube-wells in our village but these are often out of order. Village women collect drinking water from nearby ponds and canals. This is really dangerous for health. By drinking impure water many people often suffer from diarrhoea and other water-borne diseases. So the health condition of the inhabitants of our village is extremely bad. The problems can be solved if some tube-wells are sunk in the suitable places.
We, therefore, hope that you will take all the necessary steps to sink some tube-wells in the convenient places of the village and thus oblige us. We shall remain ever grateful for your kindness.
