Introduction
Welcome to our website! In this blog post, we will be discussing the best credit cards for students in Singapore. As a student, it’s important to choose a credit card that offers great benefits and rewards. Today, we will be looking at five different credit cards offered by Bank of China, CIMB, Citibank, Maybank, and DBS. By the end of this blog, you will have a clear idea of which credit card is the best fit for you.
CIMB Awsm Card
Let’s start with the CIMB Awsm Card. This card has a simple and clean design that looks quite appealing. The benefits offered by this card are also quite impressive. It provides a one percent cashback on dining, entertainment, online shopping, and even your Telco bill. If you often dine out or shop online, this card could be a great option for you.
BOC First Card
Next, we have the BOC First Card. Unfortunately, this card is not worth considering. It has a bold design, but that’s about it. Let’s move on to the next card.
Citi Clear Card
The Citi Clear Card has a decent design and is the only student credit card that allows you to earn points that can be converted into miles. However, the rewards offered by this card are quite disappointing. Let’s not waste any more time on this card.
Maybank e-vibes Card
The Maybank e-vibes Card has a pretty design and offers one percent cashback on anything and everything. This is definitely one of the better options for students. Additionally, there are some promotions available for this card. Just make sure to read the terms and conditions before you take advantage of these promotions.
DBS Live Fresh Card
The DBS Live Fresh Card has a nice design and offers a better cashback rate compared to the Maybank e-vibes Card. However, the cashback is only eligible for selected merchants. This card provides 5 percent cashback on Golden Village, Spotify, Netflix, McDonald’s, and Starbucks. It also offers 5.3 percent cashback on equal spends such as public transport. If you frequently use public transport or pay for Netflix and Spotify subscriptions, this card could be a great choice for you.
Recommendations
After reviewing the five different credit cards, I believe there are three cards that are worth considering – the CIMB Awsm Card, Maybank e-vibes Card, and DBS Live Fresh Card. Personally, I use both the Maybank e-vibes Card and the DBS Live Fresh Card.
I use the DBS Live Fresh Card as my main transport card and also to charge my Netflix and Spotify subscriptions. I have set this card as the default payment mode in my McDonald’s and Starbucks apps to maximize my cashback with these merchants. As for the Maybank e-vibes Card, I use it for all my other expenses. It’s important to note that Google Pay currently does not support the Maybank card, so you will need to carry the physical card with you.
By following these strategies, you can save up to ten dollars a month. Don’t forget to check out the giveaway we are currently running! More details can be found in the description box below.
Conclusion
Choosing the right credit card as a student can make a significant difference in your financial journey. The CIMB Awsm Card, Maybank e-vibes Card, and DBS Live Fresh Card are all great options to consider. Evaluate your spending habits and choose a card that aligns with your needs. Remember to always read the terms and conditions of any promotions before taking advantage of them. Thank you for reading my content. Bye for now!
