Meeting My Childhood Friend after a Long Time
An interesting thing happened to me last Saturday. On that day, I was a little bit sad for unknown reason. As it was a weekend, I spent some time in Messenger to chat with some of my intimate friends who are not in our locality now. Of them, one was Mehrat who lives in Dubai with his parents. Our friendship started when we were in Class 1. I have many happy memories with him. When we were in Class 3, his family migrated to Dubai. So, it has been many days since we met last time. But, we have not forgotten each other for a single day. We chat very often on Messenger. Like before, we chatted in the morning last Saturday on Messenger. I was taking preparation to go to a relative’s house in the afternoon. No sooner had I stepped on the main road, Mehrat waved his hand from the car to draw my attention. “What a surprise! You are here! Why did you not tell me that you have come to Bangladesh?” I said to him, “I didn’t tell it to you in order to give you a surprise,” Mehrat said to me. I was extremely delighted. I canceled my visit to my relative’s house instantly and took him to my home. I enjoyed a lot with him that day. It is a memorable day for me.

Student-2 : The theme of a story is the message the writer wants to give to the reader.

Kindness to Animal
One day when I was entering my school, I saw a wounded puppy sitting on the steps of the school building. I was so sorry to see the puppy. So, I decided to take it to my home. My purpose was to heal the wound of the puppy as soon as possible. It was because I cannot tolerate the suffering of any creature, either it is human or animal. But the task was a little bit difficult. Because it was the early hour of school and it was not possible to return home instantly with the puppy. Besides, I was confused about how to take it to home. On the other hand, the class was to be started in a few minutes. I talked to my classmates about it. But they could not pay attention to me as they were busy with keeping their homework ready to submit. I was also in the same condition. But an intangible affection barred me from leaving the puppy in that condition. I went to Mrs. Razia, the Headmistress of our school. “What’s the matter, Riya? Don’t you have a class?” Mrs. Razia asked me. “I have a class. But a puppy is sitting on the steps.” “What’s the matter with the puppy?” Mrs. Razia asked me again. “It is wounded and aching with pain.” “What do you want to do with it?” Mrs. Razia asked me with a little bit of indifference. But her indifference soon passed away as the anxiety was vivid in my face. Now she understood how far I was concerned about the wounded puppy. I felt like going home with the puppy. But she suggested me to apply for half holiday. On my request to keep the puppy in a safer place, she called in the messenger and asked him to keep the puppy in his care. I heartily thanked Mrs. Razia and went to class. After class, I had the puppy packed in a soft fabric bag. My mother was curious about why she had to come to school early to receive me. I explained to her the matter. She just smiled and took us home. At first, my mother took my interest in the puppy to be mere a childish insanity. But, like Mrs. Razia, she also came to understand that my interest in it was beyond mere a childish insanity. Her realization was coupled with her own pity for a wounded animal. It was something like love, kindness and above all humanity shown to a creature aching with pain. My mother managed treatment measure to heal the wound of the puppy. Besides, she as well as other members of my family took great care of the puppy. In the beginning, when I found the puppy in wounded condition, my primary objective was to heal its wound. But, now, we cannot part from each other.
