Bayazid Love For His Mother
Bayazid was a little boy. His mother was ill. One night he was studying by the side of the bed of his ailing mother. All on a sudden, his mother woke up, raised her head and asked her son to give her a glass of water. Bayazid went to the kitchen to bring water. But unfortunately there was not a drop of water in the pitcher there. So, Bayazid went to a distant fountain with the pitcher to fetch water for his mother. He returned with the pitcher full of water. But by that time, his mother fell asleep again. Bayazid thought that he should not disturb his mother’s sleep. So, he stood still beside his mother’s bed with a glass of water in his hand. Thus the rest of the night passed by. In the morning, his mother woke up. She found her son standing with a glass of water beside her bed. At first, she could not understand anything. But soon she could remember everything. Her heart was filled with a unique love for Bayazid. She embraced her son and prayed for him from the core of her heart. The Almighty Allah granted her prayer as we know that, in his later life Bayazid became one of the great saints of Islam. So, we should follow each and every words of our parents.
