Subject: An application for an English Newspaper for the students’ common room.
Sir,
I have the honour to state that ours is a renowned college in the district. There are about nine hundred students in our college. Many of us are studious. We are genuinely interested to develop our skill in English language. Only text books cannot satisfy our thirst for knowledge. An English daily is very much necessary for us. It will help us in two ways. Firstly, it will provide us with the worldwide news and secondly, by going through it, our knowledge of English language and literature will develop. We shall fail to be in the swim unless we are provided with an English daily in our common room.
I hope that you would be kind enough to provide an English Daily for our common room.
